COM-02|Leave the job to AI

Why is the AI modified five times and still not satisfied?

Using a common office task, practice turning vague requirements into task instructions, input data, and acceptance checklists. Students complete a round of first draft, feedback and review in class, reducing the repetition of "making it more advanced" and "revising again".

The content of the page is a teaching demonstration, using fictitious or desensitized information, and does not display customer privacy.

01 / Why is this happening?

The AI is not disobedient on purpose, it’s because there are three things that were not explained clearly in the mission.

What is usually missing is: what materials to give it, what to hand in at the end, and how to be considered qualified. AI can only guess based on the information it receives. The more vague the request, the easier it is to make modifications in circles.

01

Just tell the AI "Write better for me"

The goals and standards are not clearly stated, so the first draft can only rely on guesswork.

02

Only one feeling is changed in each round

The longer the changes, the older problems did not disappear, and new ones appeared.

03

Did not go back to the original data to check

Being fluent in words does not equate to being correct in numbers, facts and commitments.

02 / How do we solve it

Write a task card first, then revise it with an acceptance checklist

Break down "help me write better" into who should use it, why it should be used, what materials should be given, what format should be submitted, what should not appear, and how to be considered qualified. Modification comments are compared with the acceptance list item by item.

01

mission statement card

Explain clearly who uses it, why it is used, the materials and format.

02

Acceptance Checklist

Break down "satisfaction" into criteria that can be judged item by item.

03

One version of available results

Complete the first draft, revised draft and verification records.

04

Reuse template

Keep valid fields and only replace specific data next time.

AI can assist with drafting and revision, but end users still need to check facts, figures, sources, sensitive information and external commitments.
03 / Division of labor between man and machine

AI is responsible for sorting, and humans are responsible for facts, permissions and decisions

Writing down the division of labor clearly will not only reduce repeated revisions, but also prevent AI from making judgments for people that they shouldn’t make.

AI assistance
Identify task gaps→Generate first draft based on data→Modify by list→List issues that still need to be acknowledged
Someone to confirm
Provide real goals and materials→Confirm criteria and priorities→Check the facts and figures→Decide if it can be used
04 / Experience process

From the opening challenge to the landing challenge

There are 5 minutes before and after, using different small scenarios to check the same group of abilities; in the middle, a real work-style exercise is completed.

01

Choose one of the two openings

Which of the two mission statements is more likely to produce usable results?

02

Complete task cards

Complete a vague request into a complete task.

03

Repair item by item

Feedback must correspond to specific items on the acceptance checklist.

04

Implementation challenge

Use new scenarios to independently determine whether the results can be delivered.
